GALENA — William Marion Lucas, 51, of Galena, Kan., died at 2:40am,
Sunday, May 9, 2010, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
William was born March 10, 1959, in Columbus, Kan., to Wilber and Clara
D. (Carpenter) Lucas. He attended Weir grade school and graduated
from Southeast High School.
William was a chef at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Joplin, Mo.
William is survived by his sisters Judith Ann Moffatt of Douglasville, Ga.,
Wilma D. Belk of Pittsburg, Kan, Patty Cox of Portland, Texas; Ethel M.
Marsh of Pittsburg and Nellie Amanda Lucas of Arma, Kan.; brothers
Charles A Lucas of Junction City, Kan.; Claude F. Lucas of Miami, Okla.,
Wayne King of Girard, Kan., and Robert David Lucas of Pittsburg, Kan.
William was preceded in death by his parents; brother Clifford W. (Rocky)
Lucas and sister Margaret Sue Cohran.
Inurnment will be at a later date. There are no services planned at this
time.
