Obituaries
James J. Jones, 77 of Arma, KS passed away Friday, January 13,
2012 at Olathe Medical Center.
He was born June 6, 1934 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Marcus “Redd”
and Mary (Bettega) Jones.
James was a lifetime resident of Arma. He served in the Army.
On January 6, 1986 he married Betty Stanley in Miami, OK. She
survives of the home.
James was a salesman for Midwest Tank and was also owner of
Jones Insurance Agency.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in
Pittsburg, the American Legion of Arma and a member of the Pittsburg
Chamber of Commerce.
Survivors include his wife Betty of the home, his mother Mary Jones
of Pittsburg, 3 step-daughters: Laura Warford, Shelly Burns and
Brenda Lentz, all of Arma; 3 grandsons: Jason, Justin and Jared
Warford and 2 granddaughters: Sarah and husband Randy Steinbaugh
and Danielle Burns along with 7 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 16, 2012 at Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Condolences may be left at www.
bathnaylor.com. Private family viewing and rosary will be recited at 4
pm Monday at the funeral home. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob
Winship, Jason, Justin, Jared and Jaxon Warford. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to Four Paws, these may be left at or mailed to
522 South Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762. Arrangements are under
the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, Pittsburg.
