Lily V. Hubbard 84, of Joplin , MO formally of Weir, KS died 9:35pm
Sunday October 30, 2011 at National Health Care in Joplin , MO following
a long illness.
Lily was born January 7, 1927 in Weir, KS the daughter of Charles E.
and Lila M. ( Monroe ) Mishler. She was a lifelong resident of the area
and a graduate of Weir High School in 1945. On June 5, 1949 Lily
married William G. (Bill) Hubbard in Weir, KS; he preceded her in death
on September 30, 1995 . Lily worked as a housewife. She was a
member of the Weir United Methodist Church; Kent Chapter #117,
American Legion Auxiliary and will be most remembered for her love for
her grandkids.
Survivors include her children Donita Norris of Baton Rouge, LA and
Penny Loyd and Mike of Joplin, MO; sister Lou Heath of Nashville, TN;
grandchildren Sean and Lindsey Hubbard, Brandt, Kyler, Keegan and
Logan Loyd; great-grandchildren Jevondre Hubbard and Kemper Loyd
Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Katy,
Thelma, Berdene, Junie, Darrell, Lawrence and Robert.
Funeral Services will be 10am Thursday November 3, 2011 at the
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir, KS with Pastor Bob Banks officiating.
Burial will follow at Hosey Hill Cemetery in Weir, KS. Family will receive
friends from 6-7pm Wednesday November 2, 2011 at the funeral home;
friends may call after 2pm Wednesday. In lieu of flowers the family ask
expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the Joplin
Tornado Relief Fund. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 104 E. Main St. Weir, KS 66781. E-mail
