Obituaries
PITTSBURG — John Andrew Hoffman, 100 of Pittsburg, KS died 2:20
am, Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Golden Living Center.
He was born July 22, 1911 the oldest son of A.A. and Eda Elizabeth
(Peterson) Hoffman.
He served in the Army Air Force in WWII, in the south Pacific campaign.
John worked as a mechanic for Daugherty Motor Co. for over 50 years.
Survivors include two sons: Jim Hoffman of Marble Falls, TX and Bobby
Hoffman of Albuquerque, NM, two sisters Nadine Baima of Pittsburg and
Mary Grace Fernetti of Kansas City, MO, two brothers: Robert M.
Hoffman of Pittsburg, KS and Gerald D. Hoffman of Grove, OK and
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents two: sisters Helen Herron and
Olga Chance.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Mt.
Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg with Rev. James Sukraw officiating. Burial
will follow. Family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home
from 1pm until the procession leaves for the cemetery at 1:45.
