Obituaries
Arlene Kay (Eichman) Hipsher, 64 of Pittsburg died at 1:15 p.m.
Thursday November 10, 2011 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.

        She was born December 23, 1946 in Hays, KS the daughter of
Ben Ernest and Ian (Richardson) Eichman.  She was a resident of the
Pittsburg area for the past 17 years moving from Kansas City.

        Kay’s work history was extensive throughout her life.  During her
earlier years she was the co-owner/operator of Porky’s Pit a Barbecue
Restaurant in Kansas City.  While living in Pittsburg she was active in
the Southeast Kansas Humane Society.

        Survivors include two sons Tim Hipsher of Olathe, KS, Daniel
Hipsher of Tonganoxie, KS; two sisters Carol Coulter and Wanda Roths
both of Pittsburg; and 5 Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by
her parents and a sister Linda (Eichman) Scharsch.

        Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday November 14, 2011 at
the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Reverend C.L.
Armstrong officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sunny Slope Cemetery in
Blue Mound, KS.  The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until
service time on Monday.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 10
a.m. Sunday to sign the register or leave a memorial donation.
