Shelley Lynn (Watson) Hale, 41 of Pittsburg died at 10:18 a.m.
Wednesday March 31, 2010 at her home following a six month illness.
She was born July 18, 1968 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of Dennis and
Carole (Lambert) Watson. She was a lifetime resident of the Pittsburg
area. She attended Pittsburg elementary schools, was a graduate of
Pittsburg High School; received her BS in Elementary Education, her MS
in Education and her Specialists Eds. Degree in education all from
Pittsburg State University.
Shelley married Doug Hale on April 14, 1990 in Pittsburg; he survives at
the home.
She was a school teacher currently working for USD 250 at the Middle
School as a Reading Coordinator. She has been with USD 250 for the
past 6 years and prior to that she taught at Galena Middle School.
Shelley was a member of the Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg.
A member of the KNEA and while attending South Broadway Baptist
Church she was involved in Youth Leadership.
Survivors include her husband Doug of the home; a son Cameron Hale;
a daughter Lexi Hale both of the home; her parents Dennis and Carole
Watson of Pittsburg; 2 sisters Shannon Watson and Shay Sievert both of
Pittsburg. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal
grandparents and an infant daughter Scarlett Elizabeth Hale.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday April 3, at the Countryside
Christian Church in Pittsburg with Reverend Dan Muter officiating. Burial
will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg
where friends may call after noon on Friday. Condolences can be sent

made to an educational scholarship fund for Shelley and Doug’s children,
