Joseph Nick Francis Samson Fajardo “Nico”, 24 of Pittsburg died
Thursday June 10th from injuries sustained in an automobile accident
north of Frontenac.
He was born October 3, 1985 in Tondo , Philippines , the son of
Virgilio Sr. and Victoria (Samson) Fajardo. He was a 2003 graduate of
Northwest High School in Wichita and was a graduate of Butler County
Community College . He moved to Pittsburg in 2006 after graduation.
Nico was the manager at Gameco Inc. at Meadowbrook Mall in
Pittsburg from 2006 until present; he also worked for the Gorilla Express
Convenient Mart in Pittsburg .
He was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors include his parents Virgilio Sr. and Victoria of Pittsburg; a
brother Virgilio Fajardo Jr. of the Philippines; 3 sisters Victoria Ngo of
Pittsburg, Maria Ray of Wichita, Anna Alegado of the Philippines, several
aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian burial will be 4 p.m. Sunday June 13th at Our Lady
of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Father Thomas Stroot as
celebrant. Following the Mass Joseph will be taken for cremation. The
parish rosary will be recited at noon on Sunday at the Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home in Pittsburg ; the family will receive friends following the
rosary until 3:30 p.m. Condolences can be sent to www.bathnaylor.com.
Memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic
Church Memorial Fund or to the family to assist with expenses.
