Obituaries
Charlotte Stahl Dixon, 90 of Pittsburg formerly of Overland Park , KS died
at 1:54 p.m. Saturday February 6, 2010 at the Cornerstone Village
Nursing Facility in Pittsburg .

She was born December 1, 1920 in Lincoln , NE the daughter of Charles
and Blanche (Goss) Stahl.  She attended elementary and high schools in
Lincoln , attended University of Nebraska , and was involved in the Pi
Beta Phi Sorority.

Charlotte married John J. (Jack) Dixon on April 14, 1944 in Fresno , CA
he preceded her in death on March 12, 2006
.                                                                                

She and her husband moved to Kansas City after his discharge from the
Army; they moved to Overland Park in 1950 and remained there until
they moved to Pittsburg in 2002.

Charlotte worked as a receptionist for a printing company.  She was
currently a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg
.  While living in Overland Park she was a member of the Queen of the
Holy Rosary Catholic Church and helped establish the library at the
church school.  She was a den leader for Cub and Boy Scouts and Blue
Birds for several years.  She was active in the Red Cross and enjoyed
dancing, bridge and golf.

Survivors include a son Mike Dixon and wife Lisa of Lancaster, KY; a
daughter Lynn Grant and husband Bob of Cherokee; 3 Granddaughters
Megan Fry and husband Kevin of Frontenac, Jennifer Dixon of
Lancaster, KY, Stephanie Dixon of Indianapolis, IN, 2 Great-
grandchildren Ross and Katie Fry both of Frontenac, a special nephew
Jim Easton and wife Judy of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband John “Jack” and a sister Mildred
Huffman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a .m. Thursday February 11th at Our
Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Father Thomas Stroot
as celebrant.  Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery .  The
family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home in Pittsburg where friends may call after noon on
Wednesday.  There will be a memorial mass for Charlotte and Jack at
Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overland Park , KS at a

Organization/service to servicemen and women.  Memorials may be
