Obituaries
Leta Jean Dill of Columbus, Kansas, went to be with the Lord and Savior
On Friday July 16th.
Leta Jean was born September 9, 1927 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The
daughter of Byron and Anna Winkler.
She was united in marriage to Mervin Dill September 9th, 1947. They
made their home in Columbus.
Leta graduated from Columbus High School in 1946. She worked for the
County Treasure Office as Deputy District Clerk and was an Assistant
Branch Manager for Stanley Home Products. She considered her most
valued accomplishment as being the mother of four children.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Columbus, Kansas.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years; 3 Sons: J.B. Dill and wife
Dianne of Anderson, Missouri; David Dill and wife Patty of Maysville,
Missouri; Steve Dill and wife Libby of Cleburne, Texas. One daughter,
Melissa and husband Tom Behnke of London, England; Six
grandchildren: Jason Dill, Brandon Dill, Stacy Krueger, Kyle Dill, Newly
Dill, Daniel Dill, and 9 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary McDonald.
Funeral services will be 10 am, Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the First
Baptist Church in Columbus, KS with Rev. Warren Stanton and Pastor
Gene Dewitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Park Cemetery. Family will
receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home from 6-7 pm Monday
evening. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials
may be made to the First Baptist Church of Columbus; these may be left
