Obituaries
David Brueggeman, 69 of Nevada, MO died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday May
11, 2010 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
He was born June 17, 1940 in Parsons, KS the son of John Asher and
Elsie Elizabeth (Ehlers) Brueggeman. He lived in San Diego for 35 years;
Parsons, KS for 2 years, Independence, KS for 8 years and most
recently lived in Nevada.
David was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving his country in the United
Sates Navy.
He was a machinist for 33 years working for National Steel and Ship
Building Company in San Diego, CA.
He married Katherine Green on March 13, 2009 in Independence, KS
she survives at the home.
Survivors include his wife of the home; stepchildren-Scott Green of Rock
Hill, SC, Douglas Green of Coweta, OK; Cheynet McGuire or Tonganoxie,
KS; 3 sisters Alice Loyd of Eudora, KS, Dorothy Brueggeman of Olathe,
KS, Gloria Holler of Kansas City, MO and one step-grandchild. He was
preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers John, Paul and George
Brueggeman and two sisters Mildred Hazel and Frances Holder.
Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday May 14, 2010 at the Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Reverend Dennis Johnson officiating.
The Naval Funeral Honors Detail Team will provide military honors at the
funeral home. The family will receive friends following the services.
Inurnment of cremains will be at a later date in the Fort Scott National
