Obituaries
Leah Ruth Black, 89 of Columbus, died at 7:45 pm, December 16,
2011 at the Medicalodge Columbus.
She was born April 9, 1922 in Weir, KS the daughter of William and
Leah (Baum) Fudge.
On February 25, 1944 she was united in marriage to Robert N
Black in Girard, KS; he survives her of the home.
Leah was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian
Church in Columbus.
Additional survivors include a son Robert Stanton “Stan” Black and
wife Marilyn of Estes Park, CO, a daughter Billie M. Diehl and husband
J.C. of Olathe, KS, along with 3 grandchildren Katy Diehl Hill and
husband Casey of Murrieta, CA, Sarah Black of San Diego, CA, Kristi
Diehl of Olathe, KS and 2 great-grandchildren: Brady and Peighton Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Dale Fudge
and a sister Helen Lapping.
Graveside services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2011
at the Park Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will
follow. Family will receive friends at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in
Columbus beginning at 1pm, until the procession leaves for the
cemetery. Condolences may be left at www.bathnaylor.com. Memorials
may be made to the Medicalodge of Columbus; these may be left at or
