Richard W. Bellamy, 71, of Frontenac, Kansas passed away Tuesday,
September 4, 2012 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.  He was
born July 1, 1941 in Pittsburg, the son of Cecil W. and Ruby M.
(Hughes) Bellamy.  Richard was a lifelong resident of Crawford County.
He married Betty J. (Warford) Bellamy on December 3, 1960 at St. John’
s Lutheran Church in Pittsburg.  They shared 51 years of marriage
together.  Richard was a coal miner at the Clemens Coal Company,
where he worked as a dragline operator.  He retired in 1996 after 28
years.  Survivors include his wife Betty of the home;  one son, Roger
Bellamy and wife Peggy of Joplin; one daughter, Shari Miller and
husband Hal of Frontenac; four grandchildren, Payden Miller and wife
Jamee of Lawrence; Toni West of Pittsburg;  and Ryan W. and Lindsey
Grace Bellamy, both of Joplin.  He was preceded in death by his
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 7, 2012
at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Pittsburg, with Reverend Tom Wehrman
officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home between  9 A.M. and 1
