Obituaries
      Norah Ann Ahrens, 103 of Pittsburg, KS passed away Saturday, July
16, 2011 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg.

      She was born February 26, 1908 in Scammon, KS the daughter of
Eugene P. and Lucy (Sweeny) McGraw.  She was a graduate of Pittsburg
High School.

      Norah married Paul C. Ahrens on January 14, 1930; he preceded
her in death in 1978.

She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church of Pittsburg.

Norah worked as a telephone operator for 18years.  She later worked at
Mt. Carmel Hospital as a nurse’s aide for 20 years.  She also worked at
Anshire’s Garment Factory and Parsons Ammunition Plant.

      Survivors include a daughter, Doloros J. Yoakam and husband Ted
of Arma, KS; a son, David Ahrens and wife Linn of Pratt, KS.  16
Grandchildren, 31 Great-grandchildren and 5 Great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Mary Colleen
Jones; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 20 at Our
Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Father Mike Baldwin
as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery. Parrish rosary
will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19 at Bath-Naylor Funeral
Home in Pittsburg.  Condolences can be sent to www.bathnaylor.com  
The family suggests memorials be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic
Church and/or Our Lady of Lourdes Altar Society.  Memorials can be
